Head of Securities Services, Custody & Clearing

A renowned financial services company is seeking a Head of Securities Services, Custody & Clearing. The successful candidate will lead custody and clearing operations, drive operational efficiency, strengthen risk controls and enhance client service across Japan and offshore teams. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Direct custody and clearing operations to ensure efficient, accurate and compliant service delivery
• Re-engineer operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity
• Drive a client centric culture and initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction
• Design and implement effective risk control measures across operations
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators and industry participants
• Monitor market regulations and practices while driving alignment with international best practices
• Lead onshore and offshore teams to deliver high quality service at an efficient cost

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 10 years of experience in banking or securities industry in operation management role
• Experience working across cultures
• Possess connections with regulatory parties and other associations in the market

Preferred requirements:

• Proficient in Japanese
