A global banking institution is looking for an Operational Client Relationship Manager. The selected candidate will manage operational client relationships, oversee service delivery, handle escalations, drive operational efficiency, and support business growth across Markets clients in Asia. This is a hybrid setup and a long-term direct contract role.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver operational relationship management for Markets clients and identify client needs, challenges, and business opportunities
  • Build relationships with senior operational stakeholders and internal sales representatives
  • Develop client profiles by analysing workflows, growth opportunities, initiatives, platforms, and traded products
  • Support Global Banking and Sales teams in pitching products, services, and cross-selling opportunities
  • Represent the organisation at industry groups and forums and provide insights to internal stakeholders
  • Understand and communicate Markets Sales, Operations, and overall business strategies
  • Monitor industry developments and support post-trade market initiatives
  • Develop measures and metrics from client interactions to identify opportunities and trends
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve recurring client issues and improve service delivery
  • Conduct regular service reviews and follow up on enhancement initiatives
  • Act as the senior escalation contact for market access, post-trade queries, complaints, and escalations
  • Manage escalations promptly and ensure effective resolution
  • Maintain connections between client teams and relevant internal functions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client profiles
  • Strengthen relationships with Markets Sales and Global Banking stakeholders
  • Manage complaint logging, tracking, escalation, and closure processes

  • Experience in Markets Operations
  • Experience in Process Analysis
  • Experience in Market Advocacy
  • Project management skills
  • Native level Japanese; professional level English
