コンプライアンスオペレーションスペシャリスト/ Compliance Operations Specialist

An international financial technology company is seeking a Compliance Operations Specialist. The selected candidate will support merchant onboarding reviews, compliance monitoring, customer escalations, cross-functional operations, and compliance requirements across payment networks and corporate partnerships. This is a long-term contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor real-time merchant onboarding processes and review cases requiring additional support
• Conduct due diligence and verify merchant information in accordance with onboarding review policies
• Monitor compliance-related alerts and reports and take appropriate action
• Manage and resolve customer escalations through email, CRM systems, and other channels
• Communicate with merchants to obtain additional information required for compliance or operational purposes
• Work with Customer Success, Risk, and other internal teams to support smooth and compliant operations
• Collaborate with corporate partners on ongoing compliance monitoring
• Support compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, payment network requirements, and the Merchant User Agreement

Requirements:

• Ability to review detailed information carefully and make sound decisions in line with established procedures
• Strong communication skills when dealing with merchants, internal stakeholders, and corporate partners
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating closely with a wider team
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in compliance operations, merchant onboarding, due diligence, customer operations, payments, or a related area
