A consumer goods company is searching for a Sales Engineer. The selected applicant will be responsible for managing key accounts and driving sales across Japan’s RV, truck, and specialty vehicle markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM and aftermarket customers
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer business matters, including inquiries, complaints, and negotiations
  • Lead annual budget planning and account strategy
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
  • Prepare product proposals, pricing quotations, and business presentations
  • Plan and manage sales forecasts and inventory coordination
  • Research market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
  • Identify and pursue new customer opportunities across RV, truck, and specialty vehicle segments
  • Understand and explain technical aspects of products to support customer decision-making
  • Obtain product specifications and technical documentation from global factory teams
  • Prepare business progress reports and service/quality updates for internal and factory stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, business, or a related technical field
  • More than 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in automotive or industrial sectors
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record in customer support and account management
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Business level English and Japanese

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in OEM and aftermarket sales in Japan
  • Background in RV, truck, or commercial vehicle industries
  • Familiarity with complex sales cycles and technical solution selling
