エンジニアリング プロジェクト リーダー/ Engineering Project Leader

A multinational technology company is looking for an Engineering Project Leader. The chosen applicant will be responsible for resolving cross-functional engineering issues and serving as the primary engineering interface.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure design reviews, peer reviews, and documentation are completed in compliance with the product development process
• Manage the Technical Risk Register, including risk identification, assessment, change control, and mitigation or contingency planning
• Ensure engineering execution incorporates design for manufacturability (DFA/DFM) principles
• Approve the start, change, stop, and sign-off of engineering activities at the project and component levels
• Evaluate and manage technical change requests and provide impact assessments on effort, timing, and cost
• Work with customers to resolve defects, provide reporting, and drive issue closure
• Develop and maintain engineering deliverable timelines across hardware, validation, software, and systems in collaboration with Program Management
• Ensure adherence to standard work practices, organisational procedures, and best practices
• Lead customer issue troubleshooting and drive corrective actions
• Coordinate product deliveries and milestone handovers to customers
• Plan and monitor engineering budgets, including resources, capital expenditures, and materials
• Manage engineering spending against approved budgets
• Own BOM cost management and drive cost optimisation initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering with relevant years of experience
• Product Development Process knowledge and experience
• Customer contact experience
• Proficient in technical reporting and summary
• Ability to work in a global team environment
• Ability to network & collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a matrixed organisation
• Business level Japanese and English

Preferred Requirements:

• Prior experience in supporting with domain knowledge for product development
