A global automotive technology company is looking for a Program Manufacturing Leader Manager. The selected candidate will lead manufacturing industrialisation activities, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage new product launches, and drive manufacturing excellence, quality, cost, and process optimisation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead manufacturing process and production equipment development and launch for new programmes
  • Coordinate cross-functional manufacturing teams and industrialisation activities
  • Drive design for manufacturing initiatives in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Manage capital expenditure, tooling budgets, and supplier-related activities
  • Develop and implement production systems, process flows, and manufacturing layouts
  • Ensure successful programme launches that meet cost, quality, and capacity targets
  • Lead feasibility assessments, PFMEA activities, and manufacturing milestone reviews
  • Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
  • Drive global standardisation of manufacturing technologies and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 5-10 years of experience in automotive operations
  • More than 3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering, or programme management
  • Experience managing multifunctional industrialisation activities
  • Knowledge of manufacturing engineering and assembly processes
  • Knowledge of engineering techniques associated with project management
  • Experience launching new production lines and automation projects as a manufacturing engineering lead
  • Ability to create project management schedules and industrial plans with operational knowledge of production and quality matters
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Continuous Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, and Toyota Production System methodologies
  • Ability to work proactively with stakeholders ranging from shop floor teams to senior management, suppliers, and customers
  • Fluent level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

  • More than 3 years of PML experience in the automotive industry
  • More than 3 years of electronics industry experience
  • Proficient in Chinese, Spanish, or Thai
