An international automotive equipment company is searching for an Automotive Sales role. The chosen candidate will be managing customer relationships, driving sales growth, and coordinating with internal teams to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing and new customers, such as OEMs, Tier suppliers, and distributors and build long-term customer relationships
  • Collect customer needs, requirements, and pain points and actively identify new business opportunities aligned with strategic targets for sustained profitable growth
  • Achieve sales targets, including turnover and profitability, and implement growth and retention sales strategies
  • Ensure commercial and administrative follow-up of assigned accounts
  • Proactively coordinate activities and interact with international teams, including Engineering, Business Development, Project Management, Customer Service, Logistics, Quality, and Manufacturing, to manage projects in line with established processes
  • Resolve issues and ensure customers receive high-quality customer service
  • Contribute to Automotive Japan activities, reporting, and strategy preparation for assigned accounts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or engineering
  • More than 5 years of sales or purchasing experience in the automotive industry (Japanese OEM, supplier, or trading company)
  • Excellent commercial negotiation and communication skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s licence
  • Native level Japanese; proficient in English

Preferred Requirements:

  • Global project management experience
  • People management experience or leadership skills
  • Automotive engineering experience or knowledge, especially for Chassis or powertrain (e- axle, etc.) application
  • Experience working overseas
  • Basic knowledge of the Automotive development process (APQP)
