財務マネージャー/ Finance Manager

A multinational manufacturing company is seeking a Finance Manager. The successful candidate will lead the Accounting and Control teams, oversee financial reporting and accounting operations, maintain internal controls, and ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the Finance teams, including team development, performance reviews and process improvements
• Provide training and guidance to Finance team members
• Oversee US GAAP financial statement reporting and collaborate with Corporate Accounting stakeholders
• Review bank reconciliations, coordinate with Corporate Treasury on borrowings and excess cash remittances, and forecast monthly cash flow
• Maintain Japanese statutory books and government compliance requirements in collaboration with tax agents
• Maintain the internal control environment under US SOX and coordinate internal and external audits
• Prepare journal entries for accruals, payroll and pension
• Coordinate with stakeholders on revenue recognition, proof of delivery and multiple delivery reporting
• Review accounts payable and payment processing
• Prepare annual corporate tax package statements and coordinate tax returns with external tax consultants and the US Corporate Tax team
• Manage month-end closing and ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly financial statement packages
• Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the Controller

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting
• More than 10 years of Finance experience in a US multinational environment
• More than 5 years in a similar role
• Strong understanding of US GAAP financial statement reporting
• Experience taking full financial responsibility for a manufacturing operation and willingness to work hands-on with financial details
• Experience working in a global corporate shared services environment
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with local Operations, Sales and Service management
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally once a year
• Professional level Japanese; good level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with SAP ERP
