Head of Funds

An international financial services company is looking for a Head of Funds. The selected candidate will oversee the fund services business, driving commercial growth, operational performance, regulatory compliance, client relationships and team development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the business strategy and deliver revenue, profitability, retention and operational targets
• Manage financial performance, budgets, pricing, investments and commercial decisions
• Oversee fund administration services, operational controls, resources and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, statutory and governance obligations
• Strengthen relationships with clients, regulators, industry partners and regional stakeholders
• Develop a high-performing team through performance management, succession planning and training

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in business administration, accounting, or economics is ideal
• More than 10 years of experience within fund administration, financial services, private equity, real estate funds, asset servicing or related industries
• Experience leading teams and managing managers
• Prior experience holding senior leadership responsibility for a business unit, function or legal entity
• Proven experience managing senior client relationships and executive stakeholders
• Knowledge of the Japanese funds and investment management industry
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience as a Representative Director, Director or equivalent corporate officer
• Understanding of private equity, real estate and alternative investment structures
• Possess valid professional accounting, legal or financial services qualifications
