コーポレートFP&Aマネージャー/ Corporate FP&A Manager

A multinational biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Japan Corporate FP&A Manager/Senior Manager. The successful candidate will lead financial consolidation, management reporting, OPEX planning, personnel cost analysis, and cross-functional financial planning to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Japan P&L consolidation across revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), and operating expenses (OPEX)
• Coordinate Japan budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range plan submissions
• Manage recurring and ad hoc management reporting, including P&L, OPEX, and personnel cost analysis
• Oversee total Japan OPEX planning, forecasting, and performance reporting
• Lead quarterly accrual processes with budget owners and Accounting
• Act as the primary FP&A business partner for enabling functions
• Analyse personnel costs, salary-related variances, workforce movements, vacancies, and hiring timing
• Manage the Japan planning calendar, templates, master data, and submissions
• Coordinate planning timelines, assumptions, and reporting requirements with global FP&A
• Support strategic planning, cross-functional projects, and ad hoc analysis with the Associate Director, FP&A

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in FP&A, business planning, management accounting, or a related finance discipline
• Hands-on experience in OPEX budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and financial reviews
• Experience in financial consolidation and management reporting
• Finance business partnering experience, with the ability to challenge assumptions and provide actionable recommendations
• Proficient in Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry
• Experience in a global matrix organisation
• Experience in personnel cost analysis, SAP, planning systems, business intelligence tools, or finance process automation
• Potential and interest to broaden into R&D Finance or Commercial FP&A through future rotations
