印税管理シニアアナリスト/ Senior Royalties Analyst

An international entertainment company is looking for a Senior Royalties Analyst. The selected candidate will manage royalty reporting, contractual calculations, financial statements, compliance activities, system improvements, and cross-functional collaboration to support licensing and co-production agreements.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver contractual obligation statements to partners while managing reporting timelines
• Clarify agreement terms and build contractual calculations for co-production and licensing agreements
• Prepare financial statements, including gross calculations, royalty calculations, taxes, window fees, recoupment structures, payment allocations, and other contractual obligations
• Prepare reports for review and approval by the US parent company
• Implement and adopt new systems and processes to improve efficiency and ensure SOX and internal control compliance
• Post and reconcile contractual obligation transactions within accounting systems
• Partner with Accounting and Co-Production teams to improve processes and support licensors
• Collaborate with international counterparts to ensure understanding of royalty processes and financial reporting requirements
• Support internal departments with royalty-related inquiries and ad-hoc projects
• Manage internal audit requirements, including SOX compliance, reviews, checklists, and approvals
• Calculate co-production statements accurately and collaborate with Producers, Accounting, Business Affairs, and US counterparts
• Prepare accounts receivable files and coordinate with the accounting team
• Participate in system implementation projects, including user testing, coordination, and process recommendations
• Review royalty statements from the US parent entity and ensure accuracy with relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• More than 5 years of experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable with exposure to third-party participation, royalty reporting, and licensing models
• Experience with international deal reporting and analysis in a large corporate setting
• Experience reading and interpreting legal agreements
• Experience analysing large quantities of data, resolving discrepancies, and delivering data-driven insights
• Experience with large-scale ERP systems
• Entertainment or SaaS industry experience
• Business level Japanese; intermediate level English
