財務部長/ Finance Director

A multinational medical device company is seeking a Finance Director. The selected candidate will drive financial strategy, oversee financial operations, support business growth, improve operational efficiency, and provide strategic financial leadership for the Japan business.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, tax, treasury and reporting
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports to the executive team and Board of Directors
• Drive the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Support the development of operational strategies that align with financial goals and drive cost savings
• Monitor and manage the financial impact of business operations, including supply chain, production, and inventory management
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and growth initiatives
• Evaluate and manage financial, operational, and market risks to safeguard company assets and interests
• Serve as a key advisor to the VP Finance APAC & Japan and the Japan executive team on financial, business and operations matters
• Lead and mentor the Japan finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Represent the finance function in executive meetings and contribute to the overall leadership and direction of the company

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• More than 8 years of experience in finance
• More than 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role
• Proven experience in the medical device, capital or healthcare industry, particularly in Aesthetic and/or Vision markets
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting
• Solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS
• Experience in operations management and driving operational efficiencies
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Possess a valid MBA or CPA qualification
