財務マネージャー/ Finance Manager

An international manufacturing company is looking for a Finance Manager. The selected candidate will lead accounting and controlling functions, ensure regulatory compliance, deliver IFRS reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and drive finance process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely month-end closing and account reconciliations
• Manage statutory tax filings, including Corporate Income Tax and Japan Consumption Tax, ensuring compliance with local regulations
• Prepare and consolidate monthly and annual financial statements for the subsidiary
• Prepare and consolidate group reporting packages for headquarters
• Prepare and submit monthly and annual financial reports in a timely manner
• Perform monthly inventory valuation and gross margin analysis for trading goods
• Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly rolling forecasts
• Reconcile differences between IFRS and Japanese GAAP on a periodic basis
• Manage cash planning in coordination with the corporate treasury team
• Lead annual Corporate Income Tax filings in collaboration with the corporate tax team and external tax agents
• Support local business expansion through partnership with the business
• Act as the key super-user for the ERP finance module and ensure data integrity
• Support internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5-8 years of experience in finance, ideally within a mid-to-large-sized trading or manufacturing organisation
• Strong knowledge of local statutory accounting standards
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as Infor, SAP, Oracle, or similar
• Professional level Japanese; proficient in English

Preferred requirements:

• Familiarity with IFRS and Japanese GAAP
• Hands-on experience with ERP finance modules
