財務マネージャー/ Finance Manager

An international travel retail company is looking for a Finance Manager. The selected candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure tax compliance, manage budgeting and forecasting, support strategic planning, and drive financial performance across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management
• Coordinate with Japanese tax authorities to ensure compliance with local tax laws, filings, and audits
• Develop and implement capital management and investment strategies to support business growth and optimise financial resources
• Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and reports for senior management
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll integration, and vendor management
• Monitor financial risks, implement internal controls, and ensure adherence to global accounting standards
• Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling, cost analysis, and investment evaluations
• Liaise with banks, auditors, and external advisors to facilitate smooth financial operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• More than 7 years of experience in finance
• More than 2 years of experience in a managerial role
• In-depth knowledge of Japanese tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and investment practices
• Proven track record in capital management, budgeting, and strategic financial planning
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial software including QuickBooks, SAP, or advanced Excel functions
• Ability to manage dual reporting lines, prioritise tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with risk management, compliance audits, and cross-functional collaboration
• Business level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in an international or new market setup
• Possess a valid MBA, CPA, or equivalent certification
