ビジネスコントローラー/ Business Controller

An international building materials company is looking for a Business Controller, Finance / Controlling. The selected candidate will support financial planning, reporting, analysis, and business partnering to drive performance and strategic decision-making. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Support senior management with financial analysis, reporting, and insights to enable decision-making
• Lead or support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
• Develop financial models and perform analysis to support investment cases and growth initiatives
• Monitor business performance and develop KPI reporting to enhance transparency and performance management
• Act as a business partner to commercial and operational teams and challenge assumptions to improve outcomes
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with Group standards
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and communicate findings to management
• Support improvement of financial processes, reporting systems, and internal controls
• Collaborate with regional and Group finance teams to ensure alignment with overall financial strategy

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline
• Several years of experience in controlling, FP&A, commercial finance, management reporting, or similar finance roles
• Experience in business planning, investment analysis, and management decision support
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel capability
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in multinational or matrix organisations
• Possess a valid professional finance qualification
