上級会計士/ Senior Accountant

A global energy company is looking for a Senior Accountant. The selected candidate will lead accounting, closing, reporting, tax compliance, audit coordination, financial analysis, and process improvement across key finance operations. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, including AR, AP, GL, journals, and bank reconciliations
• Lead month-end and year-end closing with accurate financial statements and reconciliations
• Manage group reporting, consolidation, intercompany transactions, and HQ reporting under IFRS
• Oversee GST, corporate tax support, and compliance with local accounting and tax standards
• Coordinate external audits and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Analyse cash flow and financial performance while supporting process improvement and automation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Understanding of IFRS and JGAAP, as well as taxation, hedging, transfer pricing, and mark-to-market (MTM) accounting
• Knowledge of consolidation and intercompany accounting
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Skilled n SAP or equivalent ERP systems
• Possess valid accountant qualification (CCA, CA, CPA or equivalent)
• Fluent level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in trading, energy, or commodity-related environments
