A multinational logistics and supply chain company is looking for a Key Account Manager. The selected candidate will build strong partnerships with key clients and drive strategic account growth through cross-functional collaboration. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients across departments
  • Understand client and industry needs, and anticipate market trends
  • Propose solutions aligned with client goals and manage performance-level expectations
  • Resolve client issues and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Participate in RFPs, contract negotiations, and conduct formal business reviews
  • Attend national and local industry events to expand the network
  • Collaborate with marketing to enhance sales impact
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure service delivery meets expectations
  • Identify value-added services with the Value Engineering and Customer Success teams
  • Lead internal process improvement initiatives and track their progress
  • Develop strategic account plans with detailed yearly action items
  • Report account performance and client insights regularly to regional teams
  • Analyse client data in the context of industry trends
  • Maintain accurate client records and activity logs in Salesforce
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and complete required training
  • Coach and mentor junior sales team members
  • Travel to client sites as needed, including interstate

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a related field
  • More than 5 years of experience in complex solution selling to C-level executives
  • Proven experience in the logistics or supply chain industry
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite and CRM (Salesforce)
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Possess a valid MBA qualification is a plus
  • Professional level Japanese; fluent level English
