シニアリーガルカウンセル/ Senior Legal Counsel

A global financial services company is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel. The selected candidate will lead legal coverage for global markets and asset management while supporting broader legal and governance matters.

Responsibilities:

• Lead legal coverage for global markets and asset management matters
• Draft and review transaction agreements and related documentation
• Manage external counsel and oversee legal spend
• Provide legal advice and solutions in partnership with business and support functions
• Escalate key issues and participate in governance forums as legal representative
• Supervise junior legal staff and report directly to Japan General Counsel

Requirements:

• More than 7 years of experience at top-class law firm or financial institutions
• Excellent technical legal skills (financial transactions and regulations)
• Knowledge of basic legal theories
• Possess valid legal practice qualification (Bengoshi)
• Native level written and spoken Japanese; business level written and spoken English
