Japan Project Director

A global healthcare firm is seeking a Japan Project Director. The selected candidate will lead end-to-end strategic benchmarking projects for global and domestic pharmaceutical clients.

Responsibilities:

• Drive business development by maintaining existing accounts and securing new clients
• Act as the key client contact, conducting interviews, analysing data, and delivering strategic recommendations
• Manage and brief project-based field teams and participate in senior-level interviews
• Oversee data gathering through field observations of healthcare interactions
• Develop and validate hypotheses to guide bespoke client presentations
• Present data-driven recommendations that influence client strategy and performance
• Engage regularly with C-level executives in top pharmaceutical companies
• Leverage autonomy and flexibility to make high-impact contributions and grow into senior roles

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Studies, Life Sciences, or a relevant field
• Proven experience in pharma sales, marketing, business unit leadership, or client-facing consultancy roles
• Prior consultancy experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
• Skilled in developing and managing executive-level relationships
• Proficient in analysing commercial performance and delivering strategic insight
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Possess a valid MBA or relevant certification is a plus
• Native level Japanese; business level English
