レギュラトリーアフェアーズマネージャー/ Regulatory Affairs Manager

An international chemical company is looking for a Manager of Regulatory Affairs in Japan. The selected candidate will oversee regulatory compliance, product stewardship, and support chemical registration processes across the Japanese market.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor national chemical legislation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage product data, including SDS, labelling, compositions, and documentation in EH&S based on GL 26
• Maintain SAP-EH&S and implement regional product stewardship strategy
• Respond to regulatory inquiries from business units, stakeholders, and customers
• Support chemical registration, annual reporting, and audits under Japan’s regulatory framework
• Represent the company in chemical associations and provide leadership to develop team capabilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in chemistry or chemical engineering
• 5–10 years of experience in regulatory affairs or product stewardship in a global/multinational company or chemical industry
• Proficient in SAP-EHS
• Strong knowledge of Japanese chemical control regulations
• Ability to coordinate substance registration and reporting in compliance with Japanese laws
• Proficient in English
