商品開発マネージャー/ Product Development Manager

A foreign reinsurance company is looking for a Manager, Product Development, AP Financial Solutions. The chosen candidate will identify product opportunities, improve risk models, and support pricing and strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Identify product opportunities through analysis, including statistical evaluation and recognition of emerging trends
• Develop knowledge to enhance product and pricing of risks by building new models and analysing new datasets
• Maintain understanding of reinsurance products and markets to support strategic decisions on product lines
• Stay updated on actuarial modelling techniques and assess their application in the Japan insurance market
• Support the local pricing team by enhancing statistical models such as mortality, morbidity, and persistency
• Manage ad-hoc research projects to expand RGA’s knowledge of products and risks and support marketing efforts
• Contribute to internal RGA committees on best practices or technical development initiatives
• Ensure local product developments are shared and leveraged across RGA globally

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in math, finance, actuarial science, statistics or related field
• More than 3 years of relevant work experience in an insurance or reinsurance
  company
• Nearly or newly qualified actuary
• Experience in using statistical programs or database applications (Oracle, SQL, Python, Power BI, Access, or equivalent technology)
• Advanced level technical skills (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of statistics and statistical modelling
• Knowledge of actuarial concepts underpinning mortality, morbidity and persistency studies
• Good presentation skills
