A global investment banking firm is hiring a Trading Assistant for its Equity Finance division. The selected candidate will support equity-related trading operations and ensure seamless trade execution and settlement. This is a haken role.

Responsibilities:

• Assist traders in executing equity finance trades involving securities loans, TRS, FX, and derivatives
• Monitor and explain daily Net Business Income to support budget goals
• Manage stock lending and borrowing activities, particularly for Japanese equities
• Coordinate with back-office and middle-office to resolve settlement issues and manage collateral
• Mitigate risks related to corporate actions and ensure compliance with trading limits
• Support trader by optimising the use of scarce resources such as balance sheets and treasury

Requirements:

• Possess valid JSDA licence (cash and derivatives)
• Understanding of Japan equity (onshore/offshore settlement)
• Native level Japanese; business level English
