A global travel and transportation company is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive supplier acquisition and strategic partnerships in the mobility sector. The selected candidate will lead business development efforts and foster long-term relationships with transportation providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and onboard transportation suppliers such as private railways and bus operators
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand transportation offerings
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with suppliers
  • Propose promotional initiatives to increase inbound traveler sales
  • Build and manage supplier relationships to drive mutual business growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams and regional markets for campaign execution and service optimisation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in business, hospitality, marketing, or a relevant domain
  • More than 5 years of experience in business development, account management, or supplier relations within the transportation, OTA, travel, or hospitality industries
  • Possess industry network within Japan’s transportation sectors (JR Point-to-Point and other mobility providers)
  • Native level Japanese; business level English
