弁理士/ Patent Attorney

A global legal services company is seeking a Patent Engineer or Patent Attorney for US or EP prosecution within the telecommunications sector. The successful candidate will manage patent applications, draft and review claims, and develop IP strategies for clients. This is a hybrid or remote role.

Responsibilities:

• File and prosecute patent applications with USPTO, EPO, JPO, and other offices
• Draft patent applications in English for comprehensive IP protection
• Review and amend claims for US, European, and other jurisdictional entries
• Prepare strategic responses to office actions from USPTO, EPO, JPO, and IPO
• Collaborate with inventors and clients to strengthen patent portfolios
• Support the development and execution of effective IP strategies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, or a relevant domain
• More than 2 years of experience in IP (patent applications related to telecommunications)
• Experience with USPTO or EPO is a plus
• Understanding of telecommunications, networking, wireless technologies, and related areas
• Knowledge of patent laws and regulations
• Possess valid US Patent Attorney, US Patent Agent or European Patent Attorney certification is preferred
• Proficient in English (Japanese and Chinese are ideal)
