シニアリーガルカウンセル/ Senior Legal Counsel

A renowned eCommerce company is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel. The selected candidate will oversee legal, and compliance matters across business operations, including e-commerce, HR, and corporate governance. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead legal and compliance efforts across all areas of business operations, including eCommerce, HR, and corporate governance
• Advise, draft, and negotiate contracts with third parties
• Support new business and product launches
• Oversee corporate governance matters, including business license filings
• Manage litigation, investigations, and regulatory affairs in Japan
• Collaborate with internal business partners, including Product, Operations, Finance, and Global Procurement

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Law or equivalent
• More than 10 years of post-qualification legal experience
• Experience working in both law firms and in-house roles
• Proficient in drafting and negotiating contracts
• Ability to handle litigation and regulatory affairs
• Possess a valid lawyer licence/admission in Japan
• Fluent level written and verbal Japanese; proficient in English is ideal
