契約スペシャリスト/ Contract Specialist

A renowned payment service provider is looking for a Contract Specialist. The selected candidate will oversee contract management, legal support, and regulatory research across internal functions. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with merchants, partners, and service providers
• Manage the full contract lifecycle including template updates and internal approvals
• Coordinate execution workflows and maintain the contract management system
• Provide legal advice to internal teams on contract and regulatory issues
• Research and report on relevant Japanese and international payment regulations
• Support onboarding reviews and maintain internal legal templates and documentation

Requirements:

• More than 10 years of experience in a legal role
• Experience in contract review and negotiation
• Prior experience at an in-house legal department, law firm, or regulatory body
• Proven experience in the payments, fintech, or technology industry (regulated environment) is preferred
• Knowledge of Japanese contract law and general business practices
• Understanding of applicable Japanese laws and regulations (Installment Sales Act, Payment Services Act, and APPI) is ideal
• Business level verbal and written Japanese and English
