Data Governance Executive Director

A global financial services company is looking for a Data Governance Executive Director. The selected candidate will oversee data governance initiatives and promote organisation-wide compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the main contact for data governance inquiries from business units and senior management
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to support data governance initiatives
• Design and execute a communication strategy to increase data governance awareness
• Present data governance activities and progress to senior management
• Support the development and enforcement of data governance policies and standards
• Collaborate with data management roles to integrate best practices into business processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in information management, business administration, or a relevant domain
• More than 5 years of experience in data governance and data strategy consultancy and implementation
• Experience in stakeholder management and communication within a large organisation
• Prior experience in financial services
• Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs is preferred
• Knowledge of data governance principles, policies, and best practices
• Understanding of the MBOK or DCAM framework is a plus
• Possess valid PMP or agile certification is ideal
• Native level Japanese; business level English
