ソフトウェアエンジニア/ Software Engineer

A renowned eCommerce technology company is looking for a Software Engineer (Server Engineer). The selected candidate will help design, build, and maintain a large-scale distributed logging platform using open-source technologies. This is a contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop distributed “as a Service” solutions across multiple regions using open-source tools
• Maintain infrastructure across bare-metal servers and virtual machines
• Release new features using Git, Ansible, Chef, and Jenkins
• Troubleshoot Linux system issues and implement long-term solutions
• Design and build APIs and automation tools to enhance the platform
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and improve user experience
• Propose and deliver innovative improvements to the logging platform

Requirements:

• Practical experience in Linux server management and automation
• Hands-on experience writing technical design documents and aligning with stakeholders
• Proven experience managing high-SLA, large-scale systems
• Experience with distributed systems or microservices architecture is ideal
• Previous experience making architectural decisions as a technical lead is a plus
• Experience managing the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) is desired
• Proficient in Linux systems, networking, and protocols (TCP, HTTP, TLS, DNS, BGP)
• Skilled in scripting languages like Python and/or compiled languages like Golang
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach
• General knowledge of data centre compute and network architecture
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus and ELK stack)
