An international fashion design company is looking for a Senior Manager, People Operations, North Asia. The selected candidate will lead HR operations for Japan and Korea while driving operational excellence and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee HR operations in Japan and Korea, ensuring operational consistency and service excellence
• Act as the subject matter expert on HR operations, focusing on employee experience and service delivery
• Manage escalations, lead process improvements, and partner on projects across the business
• Drive operational excellence by managing service providers and continuously improving processes
• Oversee compliance with local employment laws, data privacy, and lead audits and reporting
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 5-6, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• More than 8 years of experience in HR operations with project management experience
• Project management experience from discovery to delivery
• Proven expertise in case management systems (ServiceNow or equivalent) and HCM (SuccessFactors or Workday)
• Deep understanding of employment laws in Japan
• Knowledge of Korean regulations is a plus
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting with strong process management skills
• Ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and influence stakeholders effectively
• Fluent level Japanese and English; Korean is a plus
