オリジネーター/ Originator

A renowned international energy and chemical group is hiring for an Originator position. The selected candidate will lead deal structuring, client engagement, and business development in electricity trading and related growth initiatives. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and engage with prospective and existing electricity trading customers
• Manage a prioritized sales pipeline and lead relationship development
• Drive deal pitching, negotiation, and execution of term or framework agreements
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored risk and capital management solutions
• Explore and develop in-organic growth opportunities within the Japanese market
• Create marketing materials and contribute to website and corporate messaging updates

Requirements:

• Experience in the power retailer, commodity trading, and utility
• Prior experience in mandating deals/ business cases
• Proven experience in business case preparation, articulation, presentation, and engagement with Senior Management
• Background in electricity industry id Japan (deal or contract delivery) is preferred
• Knowledge of the structure of the Japanese energy market, its liberalisation trajectory to date and anticipated market mechanism
• Proficient in developing and selling commodity risk management products (financially or physically settled or fuel source derivatives, imbalance management products, etc.)
• Possess network of contacts in the Japanese power industry
• Business level Japanese and English
