A Category Management role is now open in a foreign technology company. The chosen applicant will be defining and executing long-term category strategies, managing P&L, and acquiring and developing strategic partners.
Responsibilities:
- Define the long-term strategy and lead key initiatives to drive category growth and partner success
- Manage the P&L for Non-Fashion & Beauty categories, ensuring business performance and profitability
- Acquire and onboard strategic partners by identifying opportunities and driving engagement
- Develop and manage end-to-end partnerships, including business planning, creator collaboration, and partner education
- Analyse category and subcategory landscapes to set development priorities in collaboration with internal teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance partner performance through livestream and short video adoption
- Solve complex business problems by devising scalable, innovative solutions
- Lead internal projects such as campaigns, product launches, and B2B marketing to support the broader e-commerce ecosystem
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in managing diverse teams or KA accounts is preferred
- Experience with a commerce platform or marketplace
- Experience working in a client-facing capacity
- Strong understanding of social commerce, content marketing, and influencers
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Extensive experience in one industry or category management is preferred
- Strong knowledge of the Japanese industry landscape, consumer demands, digital evolution, and mobile transformation is preferred
- Fluent level Japanese and English
