税務マネージャー/ Tax Manager

An international manufacturing company is looking for a Japan Tax Manager. The selected candidate will lead all direct tax matters while overseeing tax compliance, reporting, and strategic planning activities in Japan.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee direct tax compliance in coordination with external advisors
• Lead or support tax planning for business transformation and M&A integration
• Manage tax audits, authority communications, and prepare supporting documentation
• Support US GAAP tax provision processes, including forecasting and tax position reporting
• Monitor tax risks, legislative changes, and oversee Permanent Establishment activities
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as a strategic tax business partner
• Support transfer pricing implementation and monitoring
• Manage relationships with external advisors and communicate tax developments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, accounting, or tax
• 8–10 years of experience in tax from US multinationals and/or accounting firms
• Proficient in work prioritisation and time management
• Professional level Japanese; advanced level English
