アカウンタント/ Accountant

An international technology and manufacturing company is searching for an Accountant. The selected candidate will lead the monthly close process and play a crucial role in developing and strengthening the internal controls environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general accounting duties, including processing of local and international payments, generating third-party or intercompany invoices
• Oversee month-end close procedures for the local trial balance, which is then consolidated on the group level in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Enforce SOX internal controls, group accounting methods, policies, and principles
• Responsible for intercompany transactions and monthly reconciliations
• Main contact for the US Group finance team and the regional Asia finance team
• Support treasury and controlling teams relating to various business and accounting topics
• Assist with cash flow forecasting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, accounting, or equivalent
• More than 7 years of accounting experience (both public accounting and corporate experience are preferred)
• More than 5 years of experience in a multinational company
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP is preferred)
• High level of competency and proficiency in U.S. GAAP and HGB, including preparation of HGB financial statements
• Knowledge of the design and execution of internal controls is desirable
• Professional level Japanese and English
