給与計算スペシャリスト/ Payroll Specialist

A leading professional services firm is looking for a Payroll Specialist (mid or senior level). The selected candidate will oversee Japan payroll operations, ensuring compliance with tax and labor regulations while managing vendor coordination and employee queries.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end Japan payroll processing, ensuring compliance with tax and labor laws
• Manage employee payroll changes including new hires, exits, bonuses, and salary adjustments
• Coordinate with payroll vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing
• Review payroll output, resolve discrepancies, and process manual payments as needed
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts and ensure correct FX rates and tax filings
• Respond to employee inquiries and handle submissions for social insurance and government reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration
• More than 5 years of experience in processing Japan payroll
• Experience with Workday Human Capital Management system and financial reporting system is ideal
• Knowledge of Japan payroll
• Familiarity with employment and payroll legislation
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Native level Japanese; fluent level English
