Japan IT Audit Head

An international insurance company is looking for a Japan IT Audit Head. The selected candidate will oversee IT audit activities, manage risk assessments, and support audit leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Perform risk assessments and develop Japan IT audit plans considering business and regulatory requirements
• Manage, coach, and guide Japan IT audit teams to support career and capability growth
• Establish trust relationships with senior leadership, control function partners, and regulators
• Provide updates and reports to relevant executive meetings and committees
• Apply audit methodology to enhance the audit process and execution
• Deliver proactive management reporting on audit activities to support audit leadership

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Economics, Finance, or related field
• More than 15 years of experience in IT or IT audit, including cybersecurity, AI, data, IT platforms, and risk management
• Practical experience in people management and cross-functional collaboration at local, regional, and global levels
• Experience in the finance or insurance industry is a plus
• Expertise in IT infrastructure, application development, project management, and emerging technologies such as cybersecurity, AI, and cloud
• Strong IT risk assessment skills
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Alteryx, and Power BI) is a plus
• Possess valid CIA, CISA, CISSP, PMP, or relevant IT audit certifications is ideal
• Fluent level Japanese and English
