Regional Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

A global financial services group is looking for a Regional Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The selected candidate will manage the information security strategy and operations for the Japan headquarters while supporting global security initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Group CISO to implement global security initiatives and policies
• Develop and oversee a comprehensive information security and risk management program
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure a strong security posture
• Advise on security processes, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans
• Identify, assess, and mitigate regional information security risks
• Lead security policy development, compliance efforts, and governance activities
• Monitor external threats and collaborate on cyber threat defence
• Lead incident response for significant information security breaches
• Run cyber simulations and manage regulatory risks
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of security professionals

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 10 years of leadership experience in large, complex, and global organisations
• Proven experience in information security and risk management in large organisations
• Experience with regulatory interaction and portfolio management
• Strong leadership in managing complex change agendas and driving strategy
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to business leaders
• Proficient in Japanese and English
