An international aerospace company is looking for an IT System Engineer. The chosen candidate ensures the smooth, secure operation of intricate IT systems for space missions, data analysis, and more. This role is based in Tokyo.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on IT needs for space missions with engineers, mission control, and data experts
- Design, deploy, and maintain space operation IT systems and network
- Safeguard IT systems, ensuring data security and availability for sensitive space data
- Manage network elements, servers, and storage
- Integrate specialised space software with external partners
- Ensure data backup and recovery for system stability
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above (computer science or engineering is ideal)
- More than 5 years of experience as a system engineer, network engineer, or a similar role
- Understanding of system security and data backup or recovery
- Knowledge of various operating systems and platforms
- Ability to make scripts in Linux sh, Windows bat, or other languages
- Proficient in Japanese and English
