Androidエンジニア/ Android Engineer

A leading technology company is seeking an Android Engineer to join its Travel Development Department. The selected candidate will design, develop, and enhance Android applications in collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class travel services. This is a contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to design and implement new features
• Partner with API developers and UI engineers to build and maintain scalable systems
• Research and propose improvements for Android application technology
• Apply the latest Android technologies to enhance product performance and user experience
• Refine development processes, tools, and team collaboration for efficiency
• Support continuous improvement of UX and design quality

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science
• More than 3 years of experience developing Android apps using Kotlin
• Prior experience in Agile development and writing unit tests
• Experience in consumer-facing products, internationalisation development, Material Design guidelines, automated testing, and multi-module projects is a plus
• Strong understanding of Android platform features and development best practices
• Knowledge of Data Binding, LiveData, and Android Architecture Components (ViewModels, Activities, Fragments, Navigation, Compose, Flow, Hilt/Dagger)
• Skilled in functional and reactive programming
• Proficient in tools such as Android Studio, IntelliJ, Jenkins/Bitrise, Gradle, and Git
• Knowledge of third-party libraries and frameworks (KTX, Retrofit, Glide, Coroutine, Google Map)
• Building CI/CD pipelines, contributing to open source, or travel domain knowledge preferred
