システムリライアビリティエンジニア/ System Reliability Engineer

A global financial securities company is looking for a System Reliability Engineer. The selected candidate will design, build, and maintain highly scalable and reliable systems. This is a contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with engineering/development teams to design, build, and maintain systems
• Troubleshoot issues across the entire technology stack: hardware, software, application, and network
• Identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for our platforms
• Proactively identify and address systems reliability risks
• Collaborate with global and regional team members on a follow-the-sun basis
• Represent the organisation in design reviews and operational readiness exercises

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Hands-on experience with enterprise tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace
• Practical experience with Ansible, GitHub or any automation/configuration/release management tools
• Prior automation experience using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby; one higher-level language desired
• Awareness of modern software and systems architectures, including load-balancing, databases, queueing, caching, distributed systems failure modes, microservices, Cloud
• Experience in running large scale systems is an advantage
