ローカライゼーションスペシャリスト/ Localisation Specialist

A global software technology company is seeking a Localisation Specialist. The selected candidate will manage end-to-end localisation processes, perform technical testing, and support linguistic quality across software products.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full localisation lifecycle for software products
• Design and execute localisation test plans and identify linguistic and functional bugs
• Analyse localisation challenges and define scalable processes aligned with internationalisation best practices
• Perform and manage translations to ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness
• Set up and maintain complex testing environments and troubleshoot localisation infrastructure issues
• Collaborate with global product, engineering, and QA teams to ensure requirements are met
• Design and execute test plans for virtualisation layers and storage systems
• Identify and resolve locale-specific bugs and integration issues in virtualised deployments
• Review and validate Japanese translations for technical terminology
• Mentor junior QA engineers and support automation frameworks for localisation testing
• Review and provide input on localisation documentation

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in software localisation engineering, localisation QA, or a similar technical role
• Proven experience testing software in VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM environments
• Strong understanding of internationalisation and localisation principles and best practices
• Proficient in QA tools for bug tracking and test management; knowledge of JIRA and TestRail
• Knowledge of data protection software, data encryption, access control, and disaster recovery in virtualised environments
• Experience reviewing and validating Japanese translations for technical terminology
• Experience designing and executing test plans for virtualisation layers and storage systems
• Experience mentoring junior QA engineers and contributing to automation frameworks
• Experience reviewing localisation documentation
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience as a professional translator
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Experience working within an Agile development environment
