A famous online company is seeking an IT Fields Tech Support Consultant. This role involves up to 25% of travel time to remote offices for end user and project support. Prior experience with customer support is a definite advantage.
- Provide helpdesk support and technical training on hardware and software to end users
- Troubleshoot Mac and Windows software and hardware, mobile phones, and other related hardware for end users via phone, email, and service desk walk-ups
- Set up mobile phone Exchange email, VPN, and internet access for users
- Perform set-ups, break-downs, and transports of equipment, such as monitors and desks on an ad hoc basis
- Examine, design, and implement new internal procedures to improve office procedures
- Manages warehouse inventory to facilitate proper handling and distribution of merchandise
- Manages and troubleshoots audiovisual software, hardware, and equipment to ensure teleconferencing and videoconferencing calls run smoothly.
- Business level proficiency in both Japanese and English
- Expertise in Microsoft Outlook (on both Windows and Mac interfaces) and the Microsoft Office Suite, with experience resolving complex problems and assisting users with advanced functionality
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange and other MS technologies including a firm understanding of Active Directory
- Comprehensive understanding of Mac OS
- Comprehensive knowledge of Windows is a plus
- Experience with troubleshooting Windows and OSX Operating Systems, desktops, and printers and print servers
