This will be a technical leadership position starting with a small team and then growing with the business into more regions in Asia. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with the business and help us expand this to other regions in Asia, with possibilities for business travel and an opportunity to step up to a leadership role for the right candidate.
- In charge of stellar customer support and responsible for delighting our consumers and providers in Japan
- Handle support cases and customer communications over email, chat, telephone and direct customer visits.
- Investigation, documentation and follow-up with developer team to help solve whatever issues come your way.
- You will be our front-line in exciting the customer and so your input into the product lifecycle will be very valuable
- You should have an opinion about what works and what doesn’t work for the local market. This opinion should be shared with the team and communicated to our partners as and when required.
- Helping out with developer outreach, events and other activities to grow the business. It really is all-hands-on-deck for this role!
- Assistance in localisation of the main service (landing page, developer portal, documentation portal ) for Japan this includes language, look and feel and UX specific to Japan.
- Establish good working processes in the team to ensure we are doing the best we can with our limited resources.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical support or development role
- Strong communication skills
- Good customer facing manner
- Fluent Japanese (spoken and written)
- Familiarity with public APIs, API gateways, API management preferred
- Exposure to the Japan developer community preferred
- Not afraid of public speaking - not a must but would be opportunities for development if you are
