バックエンドエンジニア/ Back End Engineer

A renowned technology company is looking for Back End Engineer (Java or Node.js). The selected candidate will develop and maintain mission-critical cloud services. This is a hybrid setup and contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Understand existing source code and plan containerisation, middle-ware upgrades, and deployment
• Write scalable code for new business-driving features for API gateway
• Write automated tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions
• Develop and deploy using CI/CD pipelines to quickly deliver high-quality changes
• Fix bugs and work with QA team for custom builds and stress testing
• Work as part of an agile team to deliver end-to-end features and solutions

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in application development
• Practical experience with frameworks like Spring Framework
• Frontend development experience with frameworks (AngularJS, JQuery, or Vue.js)
• Previous experience in writing RESTful APIs or developing API gateway solutions
• Hands on experience with databases (MySQL, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of system architecture design and high-level design documentation
• Hands-on experience with source control management tools like GIT
• Strong knowledge of programming languages (Java, Node.js, or Go)
• Background in designing and deploying containerised applications across multiple availability zones is ideal
• Experience with:
  • mission-critical, monolithic applications
  • JVM languages or Lua scripts is a plus
  • Nginx, OpenResty, or Tomcat
  • reactive frameworks like Spring, ReactiveX, or Micronaut
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • CI tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity)
• Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) API gateways is desired
• Proficient in Japanese is a plus
