Square Japan is looking for a Sales Account Executive. The selected candidate will be a brand ambassador for Square Japan and will help find opportunities for Square to help Japanese businesses grow. This fantastic opportunity is only available through Robert Walters.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the business and technology needs of a business to execute a sales motion using a consultative and value-selling approach
- Conduct prospecting, discovery, and demos and develop a solution with first and third-party offerings that best meet the prospects needs
- Go into the field and execute a face-to-face sales motion to build strong relationships and increase win rates
- Deliver a predictable, repeatable, and scalable outbound sales process to fill the pipeline and close deals (prospecting, cold calling, cold emailing, social selling, etc.)
- Partner with the Business Development Team to convert and close cold, outbound leads
- Oversee the sales cycle from prospect to close and partner with other teams to ensure successful onboarding
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) through proactive outbound sales efforts
- Partner with Product and Marketing teams to ensure that solutions meet the needs of the market
- Use prior sales experience to inform a creative go-to-market strategy
- Utilise Salesforce to track, monitor, and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and outcomes
- Maintain current knowledge of the global Square product ecosystem and how this may help upmarket Japan customers to further grow their businesses
- Keep up-to-date with the latest business, industry, and product trends
- Maintain current understanding of Japan and global Square sales processes
Requirements:
- More than 2 years of experience in full cycle closing role
- Experience exceeding sales targets, selling a diverse ecosystem of products, and closing complex deals
- Prior business development experience (hunting and cold calling)
- Proven Salesforce experience
- Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Interest in receiving and implementing feedback, and improving your sales abilities
- Genuine curiosity about people and business, and the ability to inspire passion in others
- Passion for technology and the industry Square operates in
- Native Japanese speaker; proficient in English
