プロダクトスペシャリスト/ Product Specialist

A global coatings company is looking for a Product Specialist. The selected candidate will lead product evaluations, develop business cases, and execute strategic product plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Refinish and Coating products
  • Evaluate new products and recommend positioning, segment targeting, and pricing
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to identify opportunities for new products
  • Lead cross-functional teams for product improvements and launches
  • Monitor environmental regulations and manage product simplification
  • Troubleshoot product issues at customer facilities and train technical resources

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or Science
  • More than 5 years of paint industry experience in refinish or OEM/industrial, Product Management/Technology or Technical service function
  • R&D experience in Chemical or Polymer Science
  • Technical experience in Automotive Industry is required (Automobile aftermarket is plus)
  • Chemical & Application knowledge
  • Understanding of coating technology is desired
  • Knowledge and experience of product stewardship & regulatory is preferred
  • Proficient in Japanese and English
