保険数理士/ Actuary

A global insurance company is looking for an Actuary role. The chosen applicant will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing asset-intensive reinsurance arrangements. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Originate, structure, and execute asset-intensive reinsurance arrangements and other transactions
• Regularly interact with clients to successfully originate and execute transactions, demonstrating self-starter capabilities and technical expertise
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with reinsurers, navigating tender processes, negotiating reinsurance terms and conditions, and ensuring smooth deal execution
• Drive portfolio growth of life & health broker reinsurance business in Japan by identifying opportunities and delivering innovative solutions
• Introduce international innovations into Japan to benefit clients and enhance market offerings
• Provide administrative support for existing reinsurance contracts, ensuring efficient management and compliance

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in a life actuarial, product development, business development or asset management
• Qualified actuary or senior actuarial student (experience in life & health business is preferred)
• Good communication skills
• Experience with reinsurance or understanding of life & products, including both pricing and valuation, is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of saving products’ design and market dynamics is a plus
• Hands-on experience working on asset-intensive reinsurance (in-force or flow) is a plus
• Proficient in Japanese and English
