VP（リレーションシップマネージャー)/ Vice President Relationship Management

An international financial services company is looking for a Vice President – Relationship Management. The selected candidate will drive business growth, lead client relationships, and expand market presence through strategic engagement with issuers, intermediaries, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Drive business growth by achieving quantitative and qualitative targets through teamwork and strategic outreach
• Identify new opportunities by leveraging knowledge of debt capital markets and client pipelines
• Lead contract negotiations and strengthen the company’s agency-of-choice position with clients
• Manage existing client accounts, ensuring timely operations and collaboration across internal teams
• Lead high-level meetings with senior executives such as CFOs and Treasurers
• Expand market presence in areas such as sustainable finance, private credit, and evolving risk sectors
• Foster strong relationships with issuer clients, prospects, and intermediaries while partnering with research teams
• Build internal collaboration to align analytical insights with client needs
• Contribute to initiatives on credit risk, operational efficiency, and business development
• Dedicate significant time to client engagement to enhance visibility and relationships
• Mentor junior colleagues and support regional and global outreach strategies
• Manage a diverse client portfolio across corporate, financial, public, and structured finance sectors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, accounting, business, or economics
• More than 10 years of experience in financial services with a strong sales and marketing background
• Proven track record of sales success, business growth, and achieving commercial targets
• Knowledge of financial instruments, debt capital, and credit markets is a plus
• Familiarity with sustainable finance, ESG, and financial intermediaries in the Japanese market is a plus
• Native level Japanese; fluent level English
