A global securities organisation is looking to fill a Compliance Officer position. The qualified applicant will offer guidance and advice to the business division on compliance matters under supervision. This role is based in Tokyo.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and communicate the regulatory impact of new elements within the industry
- Deliver regular reports essential for business and compliance needs
- Participate in discussions involving compliance or regulatory aspects
- Create and provide compliance training for staff, including new hires
- Establish internal protocols to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
- Monitor business activities, analyse outcomes, and address rule breaches
Requirements:
- 10-15 years of Compliance experience in a Clearing business or Securities industry (high frequency trade)
- Practical experience with JFSA, BOJ, JPX(TSE&OSE), JSDA and JSCC inspection and regulatory reporting
- Deep understanding of all aspects of Clearing activities
- Strong knowledge of relevant exchanges and regulator rules
- Possess a valid industry qualification in Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, or other business-related activities
- Proficient in Japanese and written and reading English
