デザイン＆エンジニアリングマネージャー/ Design & Engineering Manager

An international data centre solutions company is seeking a Design & Engineering Manager. The selected candidate will lead design management for multiple data centre projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and collaboration across global and local teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design activities for multiple data centre projects from concept to design development
• Develop localised Basis of Design (BoD) and specifications aligned with global standards and Japanese regulations
• Manage local design companies, reviewing drawings and specifications for CSA and MEP disciplines
• Collaborate with IT/Technology teams on Security Systems, BMS, and EMPS designs
• Represent the design team in Japan, working closely with Sales and communicating with customers on design matters
• Review contractor estimates and OFCI vendor proposals for technical and design compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering
• More than 10 years of experience in design and engineering in construction projects
• More than 7 years of experience in the data centre or similar industry
• More than 3 years of management experience
• Ability and willingness to travel across Japan and overseas
• Possess a valid qualification as Registered Engineer or Architect (一級建築士、設備一級建士、技術士) or licenses such as Chief Electrical Engineer, Energy Manager, Building Service Engineer, Fire Protection Engineer, or LEED AP preferred
• Proficient in Japanese and English
