学術・栄養スペシャリスト/ Academic and Nutrition Specialist

A global food manufacturing company is hiring an Academic and Nutrition Specialist for its R&D department. The selected candidate will lead nutrition planning, education, and cross-functional support across product development and compliance. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Propose consumer-focused nutritional appeals aligned with dietary standards and integrate them into product design, labeling, and advertising
• Deliver nutrition education sessions and product briefings to internal teams, client buyers, nutritionists, and consumer groups
• Collaborate with academic experts to gather the latest nutrition insights and support PR-related initiatives
• Support food law and labeling activities in partnership with regulatory teams
• Drive product development and cost-reduction projects when assigned
• Join regional R&D meetings to present project updates and discuss cross-market issues in English

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in science domain
• More than 3 years of experience working at a processed food, supplement, and food ingredient manufacturer
• Experience in work related to the development of processed food and supplement products for national distribution brands
• Prior experience in using dietary intake standards, Japan Food Standard Ingredient List, and National Health and Nutrition Survey in work
• Proven experience in creating backside labels for processed foods
• Background in creating nutrition facts labels
• Understanding of the Food Sanitation Act, the Food Labeling Act, and the Premiums and Misleading Representations Act
• Familiarity with food, nutrition, chemistry, and biochemistry in fields such as the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Home Economics, and the Faculty of Science and Engineering
• Proficient in English (TOEIC 600+)

Preferred requirements:

• Possess valid dietitian qualifications
